A Journey of Surrender

I was all packed & ready to go on the 6-day soul embodiment course near Glastonbury when it was put on hold.  The course leaders were stuck in Germany by flight cancellations due to the volcanic ash. I was reading the accompanying book, ‘The Egg Journey’ by Karlton Terry, and about the Drift phase of the egg cell that we are eventually conceived from. The paralells were uncanny – floating, powerless, at the mercy of external forces – as the egg floats from the ovary after ovulation towards (hopefully!) the fallopian tube.

The course did go ahead in the end and I learnt alot more about this concept of Drift as a transition phase in our lives. When there is no more we can do we can either trust or resist the situation in which we find ourselves. Surrender to an enemy means loss and shame, but surrender to the grace of God means peace, even joy. Learning to discern the difference between the two is an art worth pursuing. Corrina.
